| #46 | Lights are a waste especially if Griffin Park hours are from "Dawn to Dusk"
Baseball is played in Spring/Summer when it is light out until 8 or 9PM anyway.
Soccer is over at end of October and most games are during weekends when it is light out anyway...
What is the point ??
The town is asking for trouble if they keep park open past "Dusk"....

Real estate people like to brag about Windum's tax funded amenities because it draws in people that like their personal issues to be taken care of by their fellow taxpayers. |

I agree that parking at Griffin Park needs to be fixed first. Been to a few events this year when it looked like Rockingham Park Mall the day before Christmas. As for lighting, I am against lighting the fields as it would impact the neighboring houses. Lights around the parking lot and the courts could expand its usage by allowing people to shot/hit a few balls or go for a walk/job after work in the fall/spring when it gets dark out at 5 PM. Maintenance cost for such should be include in any user fees for the park if it is approved though |

| #49 | As I see it, there are three main issues with the lights: 1. Who is going to pay for the electricity? I can only imagine that the usage will be very expensive.
2. How do you minimize the quality of life concerns/impact on the neighbors?
3. Who is going to institute the times/maint./regulations?
These items need to be rectified quickly, as I understand it is on the September 9th Board of Selectman's Agenda. I also understand that the Squire Armour Road folks have started a Neighborhood Association and will attend the meeting in force.
Now this should make McMahon squirm...maybe as much as he did last night when talking about his bushes and his bridge. This guy has to go...all he cares about is Baseball and Griffin. Is Breton up for election this year? It seems like they always vote the exact same on issues...are they a team? |

Are you sick with the flu as you are out of your mind on your comment. If you take Breton out of the equation the other two when on the last BOS had bigger ego's than Obama, mostly chatterbox Charlie. He talks like he went to Evelyn Woods speed talking class and usually what comes out of his mouth is mostly what he did. I is his favorite word! Give me a break! |

Dennis there is nothing negative about ego's unless they are used to do harm or just sound like a blow hard to push agenda's that feeds their ego. I did not say anything about you except two had big ego's. Big ego's can also be used to accomplish great things. Look at Donald Trump! So there is not action of breaking a peace treaty on my part with you at all. Don't be so sensitive. I meant what I said about Charlie and said nothing negative about you. I was glad that you got the job at the Transfer Station and made no comments when others did, so the way I see it, there is no problem with us. Peace out as they say... julia Play Wink
edit to add and delete. One was put on the wrong thread the other was to add additional remark..

| #55 | The big problem I see with lighting at Griffin is the people parking on Range Road. We've all seen the cars parking way down Range Road because the Griffin lot is full. I understand baseball's proposal includes lighting the center walkway and parking lot, but even so you are going to have kids walking down a dark road to get to those cars. That seems like a fatality waiting to happen. |

It is beautiful down here. I lived in Miami before for 10 years so in a way it is like returning to your second home (of course once a New Yawker always one, Go Yankee's). Florida is like a 2nd home as been coming here for 40 years, probably when you were about 4,lol.
I am so happy that I do not have to see that piece of garbage MEADOWCROFT signs when I drove out of my driveway all the time. When you are on your way to work, maybe you could do me a favor and kick the big white one every once in a while. I hear it cannot come down as per the new PB Laura Scott, forget the new name Community something..Nice person. Anyway hahahahaaha will be up there for the holidays so duck, ok..lol gdnite, julia |

| #59 | Let us see,
There is no requirement to notify the abutters? Charlie and the WBSL does not give a darn what the abutters think? Charlie and the WBSL does not give a darn what the town thinks?
Some of the above? All of the above? None of the above?
Personally, since this is the town's park and not Charlie's like he thinks it is (the monstrosity of a bandstand), I believe it should go on the warrant in March. If the town votes for lights than so be it. Otherwise no lights!

| #60 | The imbalance between available parking and the play area can quickly be resolved by taking away a little bit of play area and turning it in to parking. You're welcome. |
